Google Photos will no longer be unlimited

The company sent out new terms of service to users.

From June 1, 2021, all new photos and videos uploaded in high quality will take up space in your storage. This applies to both free space, which is provided to all Google users (15 GB), and purchased additionally. Similar rules now apply to other Google services such as Google Drive and Gmail.

High quality photos and videos uploaded before that date will not be affected by this change.

Google Photos now has over 4 trillion photos and videos, and 28 billion new ones are uploaded every week.

Alternatively, Google offers to buy their Google One subscription.
