Banking, business and API: Raiffeisenbank's online hackathon for solutions for small and medium-sized businesses

Raiffeisenbank's online hackathon is starting soon , and we invite you to come together in a team brainstorm to create the coolest IT solutions. In this article, not only the announcement of the hackathon ( what we are fighting for, what rules and why it will be great ), but also spoilers (on the contrary, causing intrigue!) From the bank's experts - we will share how the bank has advanced in the Fintech industry.



We are preparing the project together - Russian Hackers and the Raiffeisenbank team.

What is this hackathon?

RAIFHACK, it will run online November 14-15.

What's the prize?

The total prize fund is 500,000 rubles, that's 250,000 rubles each. for each of the tracks (we will discuss them in more detail below ): 150,000 rubles. for the first place, 100,000 rubles. for the second and Apple AirPods Pro (for each team member) for the project that will receive the Audience Award.

When should you apply?

Until 23:59 (Moscow time) on November 4 (yes, it will be very soon).

Hackathon agenda

If you are a developer with experience working with big data or in any other field that may be relevant to the tasks of the hackathon - wellcome!



There will be two tracks:



“Know the customer and the competitor” is about data usage. Participants in this track need to develop a product related to the Data-as-a-Service concept based on anonymized customer data.





“Paying easily” is about using the fast payment API. Here, the participants need to offer a solution that is useful for business customers based on the SBP API from Raiffeisenbank, which will simplify the work with customers.

What should be done as part of the selection?

Together with your team, describe the product idea that you plan to implement during the hackathon. Pay maximum attention to the mechanics and the use of data in the product in the context of creating real value for the bank's customers. And you also need to argue why your team can implement the case.



All assignments will be evaluated on a 10-point scale by Raiffeisenbank experts.



The team consists of 3 to 5 people, you can invite anyone, but the ideal set is a developer, analyst, data scientist and designer.
