Today we will talk about Ralph Baer - the inventor who gave us the world of computer entertainment. More than half a century ago, he invented the very concept of playing on the screen, invented a light pistol, and ... well, let's talk about everything in order.

early years

Ralph Baer (Bauer) was born on March 8, 1922 in the German city of Rodalben into a Jewish family. His father, Leo, worked at a local shoe factory as a saddler. Mother, Charlotte Kirshbaum, was a housewife. The origin left a considerable imprint on the fate of the future inventor. At the age of 11, due to his roots, Ralph was forced to leave school and continue his studies at home.
