On the domestic market of LED products, there are many models of lamps. Most of them promise high luminous flux rates. In reality, more than half of them have overestimated characteristics.



2 models of Armstrong LED ceiling lights are involved in testing. We will measure the real characteristics of the luminous flux, color temperature, power.

The office LED luminaires have 4 LED bars, the UPL102 has 180 LEDs, the UPL102 has 112 LEDs. All diode strips are connected in series, due to this, the input voltage is high and the current is small. For example, the UPL103 has a power supply of 360 milliamps and a voltage of 90 volts.

The samples are equipped with chipped ice diffusers. Unlike opaque diffusers, "crushed ice" provides a light transmittance 2-3 times higher.

To measure the luminous flux, a photometric cube was used, designed to measure LED lamps for armstrong ceilings. Dimensions 60x60x60 cm. The samples were preliminarily warmed up for 1 hour.

The luminous flux of UPL102 turned out to be higher than the declared by the manufacturer by 420 lumens, which is 11%.

The luminous flux pulsation factor is 1%, that is, there are no pulsations at all. The power supply handles the load well.











Colorful temperature





We measure the color temperature with the UPRtek MK350 spectrometer. The measurement results are slightly lower than those stated. If we take into account the permissible error in production and the error of the measuring device, then the result is very close to the declared ones.
