A good contract is a short contract

The article on the one-page charter received a good response. Therefore, I decided to talk about a short contract as well. The agreement did not fit into one page, unfortunately, but 3 pages are also a good result and maybe someone can make it even smaller. With this article, I would like to urge everyone to respect the client and write short and understandable contracts.

Most contracts are written by lawyers, and executives, salespeople, and clients don't seem to read them. And it’s impossible to read them. How many people read the agreement with the bank or the license agreement ?! Or an agreement with a cellular operator or provider ?! Boring and useless exercise. All the same, the text of the agreement is most often not influenced in any way in large companies.

Lawyers for some reason write in the most boring and incomprehensible language, copy the texts of laws into the contract. Probably their goal is for the reader to fall asleep and not digest what is written. Or they are paid for 1000 signs, not for meaning. At the same time, many Russian laws are written in a completely human and understandable language and have good legal norms by default.

It is rudeness to offer clients to sign an agreement that they would not want to sign.

We had a contract written in simple and understandable language. But life does not stand still and colleagues said that a new agreement is needed. And that you must definitely contact a lawyer so that everything is professional. Have addressed. We got the most boring sheet like everyone else's. Impossible to read.

"Infrastructure is a complex of interconnected objects, equipment, networks, information systems, the Contractor's website."

"The Customer warrants and guarantees that he is a capable (legally capable) person capable of understanding and assessing the rights, obligations, risks, values, opportunities, benefits and other consequences associated with the use of the Contractor's Services."

It became clear that the contract should be written by ourselves without a lawyer. We start by analyzing competitors' documents.

Do you think the world will come to short, equal contracts, will it be possible to eliminate the waste of paper and labor costs for the production and sending of paper closing documents?

UPDATE

Based on the results of heated discussions with @Roman_Yankovskiy (for which thanks to him and a plus in karma), amendments will be made to the agreement, now I am coordinating it with my colleagues.
