Imagine - they gave you a mountain of money, but took programming forever. Will you be delighted? What will you do?

My grandmother came to work at the factory when she was under twenty. She went to the machine every day for forty years, from bell to bell - literally. My grandfather - in exactly the same way - got a job as a chauffeur when he was still a kid and drove his truck every day on one route until his retirement. The same story was with my mother, and would have been with my father - do not close his plant in the 90s.

When I think about it, I am eaten by a blackening melancholy - I still do not have time to become rich enough to break the vicious circle of β€œwork to eat in order to continue to work” and give them a life that I myself consider happy.

I used to be sure that I had to do it, but now I'm even more confused. It no longer seems to me that they are unhappy in their way of life. They definitely do not work for the sake of money, not for the sake of breaking out somewhere, and they never worked only for this.

Now it seems to me that I am really unhappy.

I really started working ten years ago. For real - this is no longer in order to save up for jeans and a player, but for the sake of ambitions and money for your life. For ten years I changed eight jobs, I never had a clear specialty, I rushed between professions, and always left as soon as something did not like. Several years ago I got into IT from the back door - but as elsewhere, I didn't sew a sleeve here, just an observer from the side.

And this is what I see - it turns my brain and ideas about life almost every month.

I will generalize a lot, but this is what my first impression was.

Nowhere else in any industry have I seen such a clear and understandable system. People know what to do, how to do it, and what they get for it.
