Wargaming unexpectedly stepped up their attack on us in the USA. At the end of August 2020, we learned from a Californian court that after our recent renaming (which, as we thought, should have removed all past far-fetched claims), an accusation was added to Wargaming's lawsuit , now in illegal copying of the NetworkTestGame source code . This is the name of the test client used to debug the Open Source networking code of the dava.framework engine hosted on github.com since 2012 . To formally justify this attack, a Cypriot company registered NetworkTestGame in June 2020US Copyright Office disguised as a separate product and attached this registration to the lawsuit, adding an β expert β comparison of screenshots to our game β Battle Prime β:
βOne of the leaders in the free-to-play MMO marketβ (source https://wargaming.com/ru/about/ ) substantiated the borrowing with the following features:
1) the game sight is similar in appearance;
2) an identical virtual joystick located in the lower left corner;
3) a desert area with palm trees that even cast a shadow;
4) the shooter controlled by the player is depicted in a third-person view with the upper half of the body;
5) 3D image of the enemy in the distance.
