"Other" management or why it can be difficult to communicate with people at work

Recently I changed my next job, I am a programmer, Team Lead, PM, BA, Data Analytic, HR, QA, CTO, producer and psychologist (the latter is both by education and in fact).

Not so long ago, I became very interested in conflicts in the work collective, or rather, where they come from and what can be done with them so that they do not interfere with work, but, on the contrary, help. What was most striking is that people never talk about what they really want to say, even when they are in a higher tone.

Let me give you an example. If you are somehow connected with it, then you probably managed to hear phrases such as:

  • I have been working here for 3 years, but he just came
  • Front End knows nothing about Back End
  • Managers are fed up with their useless rallies
  • For the designer it is easy to move it to the right, and for us to redo the week

And these phrases seem to give the impression of a laconic and logically reasoned position. But it seems to me that people really want to say something quite differently . In my purely personal experience, all these phrases can be replaced by β€œnotice me, I am important too ”, and sometimes β€œI am more important than others”.

I propose to conduct a little philosophical and psychological research.

Let's say we have a patio in a typical residential area. With sandbox, slide, carousel. There is a place for children to play hide and seek and catch-up, there is a place to play with sand.

Children go out there for a walk. And in summer, on vacation, they rather live in this courtyard, and sometimes they just appear at home.
