The founder of Microsoft has long since retired from running the business and retained only 1.36% of the company's shares. In recent years, Gates, whose net worth is approximately $ 113 billion (the second richest person in the world), has been more involved in charity. Together with his wife, back in 2000, he founded the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which finances such projects - its volume exceeds $ 45 billion.

10. Schrodinger



This company is developing sophisticated software that helps in the creation of new drugs. Schrodinger went public only in February 2020. Almost immediately, the Gates Foundation acquired 7 million of its shares, which exceeded 11% of the total.
