Intel Arch Day 2020 News: Intel Xe GPU in Stock

We continue our report on the news brought by Intel Architecture Day 2020, which took place just a day ago. Today's portion concerns Intel Xe GPUs - the entire range of their microarchitectures for the near future has become known. Not without additions and updates.

So, the complete list includes:

  • Xe-LP (Low Power) — Intel . 96 , , , , AV1 .. DX11.
  • Xe-HP — , , -, AI-. 1 4 (), GPU. Architecture Day 10 4k@60FPS . Xe-HP .

  • Xe-HPC — , . Ponte Vecchio, 10 SuperFin , , Rambo Xe Link Foveros Co-EMIB.
  • Xe-HPG is a gaming-optimized architecture that incorporates Xe-LP energy efficiency, Xe-HP scalability and Xe-HPC compute frequency optimization. Added to this is a GDDR6 based memory subsystem, as well as ray tracing support. Xe-HPG sales will begin in 2021.

SG1, Intel Server GPU, is the first discrete graphics card built on the Xe architecture for data centers. The card is small in size for placement on servers and is designed to provide the lowest latency and maximum density in Android cloud gaming and video streaming. The SG1 will go on sale later this year. The first consumer Xe-card called DG1 is already at the start of sales. DG1 is now available through Intel DevCloud.

New functionality has also appeared in the Intel Graphics Command Center (IGCC) app for Windows 10. Instant Gaming Tuning is a dedicated component for gamers. With it, patches and optimizations for games can quickly reach users without the need for a driver update. Game Sharpening uses a shader-based computational adaptive sharpening algorithm, which will be especially useful when scaling a game image.
