Intel Optane PMem 200 Series is the next generation of high performance DIMM memory based on Intel Optane chips optimized for Intel Xeon Scalable Gen3 processors . Compared to the previous generation, the 200 Series delivers up to 25% faster data rates with constant power consumption - no more than 18W TDP for a 512GB module. Like its predecessor family, the Intel Optane PMem 200 Series comes in 3 sizes: 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. There are two main ways to use it and interact with traditional memory.

The server platform supports up to one Intel Optane PMem 200 series per channel, that is, up to 6 modules per socket. Thus, the Persistent Memory capacity per socket can be up to 3 TB, and the total memory capacity is 4.5 TB.
