I have been working as a freelancer for 14 years now . I started when this area, including IT freelancing, was not yet so developed, at least in Russia. Leaving for remote work was not as fashionable as it is now, there was no widespread freelancing. The phenomenon of outsourcing a whole staff of employees and specialists did not have time to develop. We can say that "I went into freelancing when it had not yet become a trend."



So, I have been working in freelance since then, and in this article I want to summarize my experience and share it with those who are going to go freelance. Knowing all this, it will be clearer, more comfortable and more pleasant for them to work in this area.



My way



I myself am from Bashkiria, first I worked in Ufa, then in Tyumen, in Moscow. I was looking for a job for vacancies for 1C-specialists. By the way, then 1C-nicknames were required almost everywhere.



In Moscow, I worked in various companies and in the last place, at one of the factories, I reached the position of the head of the automated process control system (Automated Process Control System). I was "outbid"; from 1Sfranchisee, offering a large salary, great preferences and a stable pay. I must say that the salary was indeed 1.5-2 times more than at the previous place of work. At the same time, there was much less so-called headache. And, I must add, I was pleased with the person who offered this job.

  4. Decide immediately on the price for your work . If you do not have one, which is very important, then you will not be able to receive freelance orders. Again, comparing with people in the state, the issue of price is not there. The management pays the employee a salary and understands how much his work costs per month. But freelance work is completely different, and the customer must immediately understand the price. Therefore, the better you describe your services and the more specifically the price for them is indicated, the more likely you will receive an order.
