First, the border was slightly opened . From August 1, you can go to Turkey, Tanzania and the UK. It is already clear that we have agreed with Turkey normally and the first flights will fly there with a high probability. Many more approvals are needed with the UK and Tanzania, plus our fellow citizens are still waiting for a 14-day quarantine in London. Before that, other lists of countries were announced - somewhere someone agreed on the possibility of admitting Russians through diplomatic channels, somewhere Rospotrebnadzor said that it was possible to enter this country according to epidemiological criteria, etc. There are three left. At the same time, they have significantly simplified the entry into Belarus.



Secondly, the Russian government allocated 15 billion rubles to support domestic tourism... Tourists who have rested in some Russian regions will be compensated from 5 to 15 thousand rubles, depending on the cost of the tour. For example, with a tour cost of 50 thousand rubles, cashback will be 10 thousand rubles, and with a cost of 75 thousand rubles, 15 thousand will be returned to the tourist. The program will be launched in August 2020.



Thirdly, Moscow will have the first airport with a metro . The new Vnukovo metro station will be fully integrated into the infrastructure of the airport of the same name. This will allow 15-20 minutes to get to the city faster. Thus, the airport of the same name will become the first airport with its own metro station.

The table shows that even compared to last year, the demand for flights to Turkey has grown significantly. For example, the Moscow-Antalya route took off from position 19 to 1, the share of tickets on this route now makes up 12% of all tickets abroad. At the same time, the price for the flight increased by 42% compared to the same period last year. A flight from Moscow to Istanbul and Alanya is now about 30% more expensive. The interest of Petersburgers in Turkey is noticeable: the demand for flights to both Alanya and Istanbul has grown by at least 1.5 times. The average ticket price from St. Petersburg to Alanya increased by 61%, and to Istanbul - decreased by 13%.



If we compare the demand for opening countries with the previous week, then the number of bookings to Turkey has grown 5 times, to the UK - 2 times, but in Tanzania everything is still quiet. There were many search queries, but so far travelers are not ready to buy tickets there in large quantities.



If we talk about Sochi, Simferopol and Kaliningrad, then this weekend (July 25-26) the demand for these directions is 10-11% lower than the week before - July 18 and 19. As for prices, on average, prices for flights to Russian resorts in August 2020 are about 20% higher than in July 2020. However, it is still significantly lower than the average prices in August last year.







For all popular air destinations for travel in June - July 2020, we record a decrease in the average ticket compared to the previous year. The most significant drop was observed in prices for flights from Moscow to St. Petersburg (-47%), from Moscow to Yekaterinburg (-46%) and from Moscow to Novosibirsk (-45%). Decrease in prices for the top 3 routes (from Moscow to Simferopol, Sochi and Anapa) - from 16% to 22%.





In August and September, sea destinations are also in the top: travelers are planning a vacation for the velvet season. Separately, we note that the share of those wishing to spend a vacation in August or September in Anapa has grown compared to last year. The share of travelers to this city from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg has doubled.



While the popular destinations are traditionally in demand for recreation. Some cities that were in the top 20 for trips in August-September a year ago are now much less in demand. The Moscow - Khabarovsk route fell from 12th to 22nd place, Moscow - Tyumen - from 20th to 69th place, Moscow - Surgut - from 16th to 81st.
