Habr PRO webcast: discussing how 2020 set the heat for business
Hello, Habr! We continue to master the video format and, together with our partners SBTG.RU, have released the second webcast dedicated to how quarantine and remote control changed our world. The first time we compared what happened in large companies and freelancers, and in the second issue we got to the business. So, under the cut - the second issue of the Habr webcast, in which we discussed how quarantine changed the work with clients.
In the pilot episode, we talked about the remote mechanics that drove us home, to unsettled home offices, and about the nuances of the transition itself and working from home. As these three months showed, it turned out to be much more difficult not to adapt to these conditions, but to somehow conduct business in them.
We invited Elena Shcheplova, product manager of the educational platform Uchi.ru, whose traffic grew 7 times during the period of self-isolation, and the number of users from 3.5 million to 8 million, and Katerina Zabrodova, Umbrella IT Production Director , which in a covid period helped out very, very many of those whose IT contractors could not stand the quarantine and stopped their work.
We discussed what was lost a little while honoring couriers: how during quarantine the load increased several times, including the load on remote technical support, how companies found themselves without IT support due to the collapse of contractors, and that money is far away not the main criterion for evaluating work.
After the first release, we tested the preparation for the webcast and the approach to the topic, and as a result, we established a dialogue between the guests, discussed several articles with Habr, answered questions online and were glad for Roman, who felt better (completely the comment sounded like “on the contrary, the first time at home was difficult for me , felt a decline of 50%. Then it got better ", but the middle was successfully lost).
In general, once again many thanks to our friends from SBTG.RU, thanks to them, the full recording of the webcast can be viewed at the link or directly from the post:
