Network 2030 vision: how the Internet will change in 10 years





In the spring of 2020, the Financial Times reported on New IP technology. The post about the Huawei-initiated IPv4 replacement made a lot of noise and quickly spread across the network. But in fact, New IP is part of a global project that will change our understanding of the modern Internet.



The Internet audience has exceeded 4.6 billion people. According to Internet Live Stats, over 3 zettabytes (10 21 ) of Internet traffic are consumed daily . We use clouds, all kinds of gadgets and Internet of Things (IoT) devices every day. Unmanned vehicles will soon be added to this list.



Surprisingly, all these devices and technologies still use the obsolete IPv4 network protocol. How everything will change, how quickly, efficiently and safely the network will operate in the next 10 years, read under the cut.

Obviously, just one desire to implement all the innovations conceived in the concept will not be enough - the project must find support from equipment manufacturers and service providers.
