Number of PMI certificates in Russia for the first half of 2020

Hello everyone interested!



This is the third time I have published information on PMI certification in Russia and I have a strong desire to do it systematically.



What for?



Just because I'm interested. And a couple more people around too. Or not a couple. Or not around.

But in general - questions periodically appear, so this is it.



Today On that day (07/01/2020) in the PMI Register (by the way, it moved a little and the link became shorter) there were 1,761 people and 1,835 certificates from people who did not hide themselves and had an address of residence in the Russian Federation. And compared to the beginning of the year, this is not so-so growth, because then we had 1735 people.



If you look directly at the numbers, then only 26 people have increased.



But actually it is not.



For six months, 121 certificates were received by 121 people (at first it turned out that 120, I began to look for those advanced people who managed to get 2 certificates ... And one of them turned out to be just a namesake with a person from another region).



Who received 2 certificates in six months? One resident of Omsk, who became CAPM at the beginning of the year , and thenthe one who has achieved the necessary experience and passed the PMP exam .



In total, for six months people received:



9 CAPM certificates

5 PMI-ACP

certificates 1 PMI-PBA certificate (Roma, hello, there are so few of you ...)

2 PMI-RMP certificates

Well, 105 PMPs



What conclusions can you draw? In half a year, we caught up with last year in terms of the number of PMI-PBA and PMI-RMP , but PMI-ACP is losing ground.



As of the above date, in Russia:



1 person has 4 (!!!) PMI certificates - PMP, PMI-RMP, PMI-SP and PMI ACP (I would work with him on a project ...), and this is really a lot. And expensive. And cool. Especially considering that half of them are rare guests all over the world;

3 people have 3 certificates each;

65 people - two;

Well, the rest 1692 people one by one.

Changes over six months in numbers

In the table we can see that, compared to the beginning of the year, 88 people who had expired their certification did not renew it.



118 people in 2020 - why so? Because in the column 2020, the numbers on 01/10/2020 and these 10 days off were used by 4 people.



Figures that may raise questions - 2005, 2013.



A year has passed a long time ago, and people have increased?



Alas, such a specificity of the certificate expiration date.



If a person has not renewed it for its validity, he gives indulgence opportunity for the year to reform and renew its action.

It doesn't look at all - there are too many of them (it won't sound exactly like that, but what can you do).



And the rest of the certifications began to look prettier.



The total number of certificates at the reporting date is lower.

Don't be intimidated by the fall in the rise in 2020 - it's only half a year.

A little about the online exam

Starting April 14, 2020, it has become possible to take the PMP exam online.



The exam has not become easier, there are few opportunities to cheat, but it adds convenience to people (all the more, houses and walls help, right?).



How much did this affect people's desire to get certified?



I can say that from March 26 to April 28, not a single person received a certificate in Russia.

Of the 105 certificates, 65 were received in Q1, and the remaining 40 were received from April 28 to July 1.

Quite a little time has passed, but so far it can be said that the appearance of the online exam did not in any way affect the number of certified professionals.



And yes, only certificates available online were received in Q2.
