Games from Ilona Mask for children 8-14 years old (we play all Habrom in the comments)

image

Elon Musk made the Ad Astra school "for his own", and recently the team of this school launched an online school for $ 7,500 (online classes once a week). There I found several games that I found very interesting.

And let's all Habrom play? Write your answers in polls and comments.

Game 3: MARTIANS

For the first mission on Mars, you don't need a commander. These six astronaut candidates have been evaluated by the Space Administration and received ratings that roughly match their character and suitability. The astronauts were also asked to rate their own personal qualities.

image

Please answer the following questions:

1. Which astronaut can be the best leader of the first mission to Mars with the following goals:

Survive and establish a base on Mars. Return to Earth in two years.

2. Which astronaut can be the best leader of the first mission to Mars with the following goals:

Survive, create a base on Mars and build a plant to produce fuel from the resources found. To remain on Mars forever, in three years another group will have to arrive.

Game 4: RUBICON

image

RUBICON is a two player game developed by Astra Nova. Play this a few dozen times to understand how it works and answer the following two questions:

1. What strategies are most effective in RUBICON? How did your moves change as the number of games played increased?

2. What changes could be made to RUBICON to make the game even better?

Players take turns filling in empty circles.

When a player moves two or three times in a row, he must move to the golden square, or the square associated with the existing one.

In the first round, each player makes one move.

Gold cells can be used by any team.

Players can choose from different sequences.

To score points, the circles must connect continuous paths across the Rubicon (by matching colors of the beginning and end).

If no new paths can be built on the field, the player with the most points wins.

Several paths can start from a cell of the same color, but points for this cell will be counted only once. A simple question to check: "Does this path cross the Rubicon and connect to the other side?" If so, count the points for this cell.

Game 5: THE LAKE

image

A large lake surrounds a large city.

Thousands of people use the lake for commercial fishing, tourism, recreation, and the lake is also a source of drinking water.

The company, conventionally called the POLLUTANT, dumps toxic waste from its production into the lake.

The POLLUTANT suspects that its production may be harmful to the lake, but it provides jobs for thousands of people in the city, and any new rules and restrictions could weaken the company. Pollution is the โ€œcost of doing businessโ€.

Scientists, having studied the state of health of the lake, in the overwhelming majority of cases come to the conclusion that in 10 years the lake will die if the pollution does not end.

The PUPPETTEER, who fears that the new rules may affect his business empire, decides that the SCIENTISTS are probably exaggerating.

The PUPPETKEEPER decides to form his own research group called Scientists for a Healthy Lake.

The PUPPETTEER pays a small group of scientists to publish fake research that claims the lake is "healthier than ever."

The media report said a new scientific study says the lake is doing well.

POLITICIANS have the power to stop the release of toxic substances, but they decide that any action against a POLLUTANT is too dangerous as there does not seem to be a scientifically based consensus.

VOTERS listen to the media, POLITICIANS and SCIENTISTS, they become confused and split between them. They are not sure if the lake is dead, healthy, or borderline.

The POLLUTANT continues to discharge toxic fumes into the lake.

10 YEARS LATER ... THE LAKE DIES.

What percentage of the blame do you assign to each of the 6 characters? Please comment on your answer.
