Quantum revolution: professions of the future and transformation of education

Russian and foreign experts will discuss the transformation in the field of education and the search for specialists in the professions of the future on the air using the example of quantum technologies. The Russian Quantum Center, the Roscongress Foundation and the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom are announcing the fifth international online discussion within the framework of the Quantum of the Future project.

On July 8, at 17:00 Moscow time, a special issue will take place on the RCC's YouTube channel - the discussion "Quantum revolution: professions of the future and transformation of education." The special guest of the meeting is Yulia Uzhakina , General Director of the ROSATOM Academy. All speakers will be connected to the discussion remotely using the Zoom service, and viewers will be able to ask their questions live.

“Involvement of educational institutions in advanced research and technologies is a task of national importance, especially when it comes to quantum supremacy. The young generation of researchers is capable of providing Russia with a leading position in this area. In this regard, a number of questions arise: how and what to teach schoolchildren and students so that future specialists can compete with foreign colleagues, what competencies will be most in demand and where to hire teachers, how the education system as a whole is changing. For example, one of the student research centers is NTI “Quantum Communications”, created on the basis of the NUST MISIS consortium, the Russian Quantum Center, as well as a number of innovative and industrial enterprises. An effective system of interaction between enterprises of the real sector, scientific organizations and innovative enterprises will lead to the creation of useful products for society. Another goal of the center is to develop educational programs in areas related to quantum technologies, quantum communications and cryptography, ”says Ruslan Yunusov.
