Hello! My name is Azat, and today we will talk about the language. But not about the programming language, but about the natural one. More specifically, about the language of Russian-speaking IT specialists. Like any professional community, we have our own slang (try to give a few words offhand). And the slang is actually rather big.
And I love these words! For example "pythonyasha". Despite the fact that it is difficult for me to give a definition of this word (a simple attempt is "a person who loves python very much"), it is beautiful, pleases the ear.
But if we try to Google it, we get only 295 results. Perhaps this is, of course, not the most popular word. But if you try others (for example, "Yandex"), you can see that their presence on the web is not very large. My guess is that Russian IT slang lives mainly in endless telegram chats. Chat of the course at the university, mountains of working chats, chats with interests in technology. You yourself know.
In these chats, words are born and died. We fix them in our heads, but from there they gradually leave. We are losing culture.
Now imagine if there was a single place where the Russian IT dictionary was collected. It would be a kind of digital museum, where one could get acquainted with the life of a Russian-speaking IT specialist. In my opinion, a very cool idea. I decided to bring it to life.
Dictionary implementation
Thinking how to implement my plans, I almost immediately remembered about another project - collecting signatures in support of the persons involved in the "Moscow case" on the github .
People make a pull request to this repository with a file in which they put their name and position. After that, using Github Actions, their information goes into the README and is visible on the main page. I needed almost the same thing.
After carefully studying the code (yes, a lot was just copied), I made a repository with the long-awaited dictionary.
