Some of them never attached importance to brushing their teeth, and this led to their destruction. Some thought that going to the dentist doesn’t necessarily hurt. And someone just has a predisposition to severe periodontitis.
Not so long ago, a patient came to me asking what to do and what to do with my teeth.

The girl is rather sensitive to her teeth. As we can see, she was actively involved in their treatment and recovery.
But time is inexorable and merciless. The life of fillings, crowns and bridges has come to an end. In addition to the fact that their teeth completely deteriorated, irreversible processes began in the area of ​​the previously installed implants.

In addition to deteriorating your teeth, problems can begin with implants installed, as in this case. The second also has to be removed. Not to mention the fact that some "fellows" are still installing plate implants without any indication. (fragment of computed tomography)
Why, with such a width of the alveolar part, a medieval plate implant was installed, remains a mystery to me.
So, after the results of the diagnosis, the consultation of the orthopedist and (which is important) the wishes of the patient (!) Were taken into account, it was decided to remove all the teeth in the upper and lower jaw, including the previously installed implants. Except for the plate. I left it for dessert.
If you think that the patient left the clinic without teeth, then you are mistaken. Before removal without fail, the orthopedist takes impressions of the jaws. The technician then fabricates complete removable dentures in the laboratory.

Something already, okay? She will walk with him until he is replaced with a permanent structure.
After two months after removal, implantation can begin. Six implants
were installed on the upper jaw and an operation to build bone tissue was performed - sinus lift (on both sides). After 2 weeks, 8 implants were installed on the lower jaw.

Four months later, gingiva formers were installed on the upper (left) and lower (right) jaws.
Then the orthopedist took casts, and a technician in the laboratory made such a permanent prosthesis with support on implants.

In conclusion, I would like to note the following: dear friends, you must understand that it is not a large amount of work that is terrible, not the removal of all teeth, not bone grafting, not the number of implants installed. Scary - indifference to the health of their teeth. The less attention you pay to them, the more voluminous and difficult it will be to restore them. By brushing your teeth in time, you can prevent caries. Having healed caries in the initial stages, you will save yourself from its complications in the form of, for example, pulpitis or periodontitis. Having cured pulpitis or periodontitis in time, tooth extraction will bypass you. Timely restoration of a lost tooth will save you from bone plastic, etc.
After all this, I think it makes no sense to write that a timely visit to the dentist, and indeed to any other doctor, will protect you from unnecessary nerves and expenses. Therefore, take care of your teeth, and let's meet at preventive examinations, and not treatment and extractions.
